The Saga continues....

It's official... Nortel has been bought out by a company called Ericsson based out of Sweden! News of this came Friday night after a heated bidding war and Brad received the email on the weekend. Nortel said that Ericsson has agreed to offer jobs to 2,500 Nortel employees in the wireless division... so we will again have to wait and see if Brad makes it into that select few!!

So... the saga of waiting continues... it is not an easy place to be in life, but I love how God continues to remind me that He is in control... our family found this poor little bird prematurely hatched from his egg... completely vulnerable with an uncertain future... barely bigger than Lindsey's thumb nail!! Those of you who know me know that birds are a bit of a special "thing" between God and I and I was immediately reminded of the verses in Matthew 10:

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of God... so don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

Now this is NOT a promise that Brad won't lose his job or that no harm will ever come our way, but it IS a promise that God cares infinitely more than we can imagine and that He will take care of us through whatever comes our way. And so we will continue to wait in peace.

And meanwhile, I'm looking forward to picking my TOP CHA picks for the summer so keep watching!!

Wow what a sign. That bird is so tiny, awesome photo. Patience is a virtue. I'm thinking the best thoughts for your family. I'm also looking forward to seeing you at Clipper Street, Langley in a couple of weeks :o)

Say thank you to Lindsay from me for decorating the envelopes, I knew it was her even before I read your note.
