Have a great trip in Cancun Allison.Look forward to seeing some pics.
So Betty, send us an email at info @ croptropical.com to let us know where we can send you your prize!

AND...  since "baptizing" my camera in the ocean while at Crop Tropical in Cancun, I am on the hunt for a new camera!!  This week I received a Nikon D90 to test drive and have been playing... I shot some "everyday" photos of my family last night... Lindsey baking cookies, Justin doing some homework and Brad washing dishes all while watching the Olympics (GO CANADA GO)!!

(growing up, my mom used to ration the chocolate chips in our cookies to just 3 so this one's for you mom!)

I was trying to shoot in low light with no flash so some of them turned out fairly blurry and grainy, but no worse than with my D80.

AND... exciting news on the new home front... while we were in Cancun, they poured our basement and should be framing within the next two weeks!!!  Apparently the team that will be building it is a Mennonite team that can put up a home in less than 5 days with the best quality workmanship the site supervisor has ever seen!!!  Having some amazing Mennonite friends, I am not surprised!! I hope to capture photos of the process!!  Here's where we're at now...

AND... I can finally share some very exciting news about a great and talented friend... Christy Riopel!!  Actually, I'll let Christy share her own news (go HERE to read and please leave her a comment), but suffice it to say, I've known for years that this girl has it going on!!!  She ROCKS in the talent dept. as we got to experience first hand all week at Crop Tropical and I'm not the only one that has noticed!!!!  So any chance you get to take her classes... DO IT!!!!  Especially her 5 Secrets to Amazing Layouts!!

AND... speaking of talented instructors, we are still accepting applications to teach on our next Crop and Cruise Scrapbooking Cruise to the Caribbean in Nov. 2010!!!  If you are (or know someone) who is fun, talented and would make a great addition to our teaching team, please apply!!  We KNOW that there is so much talent out there and LOVE to be able to introduce them to this great country of ours!!  Deadline to apply is March 15, 2010.

AND... last, but oh so not least... speaking of Crop and Cruise...

Congrats on the house progress! Pictures look great! I find the night settings work pretty well on the D90 with a diffuser/cloud on the flash or an indirect flash.

Congrats to the winner of the goodies! Maybe my luck is being saved for the Cruise! :)

That is too funny! My mom rationed the chocolate chips too. Thanks for the childhood memory.
