Paris Hilton Scrapbooking Photos and My Fun "Interview"

Paris Hilton was one of the celebs at CHA Winter 2009 and with a media pass, I was able to get up close and personal with her and even interview her a bit about scrapbooking while she was signing autographs!
Paris Hilton's new line of scrapbooking is geared for the tweens and teens and is very vibrant coloured with a huge dose of BLING!  There has been much debate on whether or not Paris actually scrapbooks, but I must say, that I do indeed believe she does!    Most of the press surrounding me were not actual scrapbookers... they were wanting to ask Paris about her hair, her dog and love life!  But because I was in the front of the press box about 3 feet away from her (one of the benefits of being so short!) I noticed a book on the table and asked her if I could look.
She hesitated at first and then told me I could look adding that it wasn't really a scrapbook, but simply a place to keep assorted things she had collected from her travels for inspiration!  This was her first page and then what followed truly was an assortment of embellishments, stickers, cards and BLING that she has collected.  So I ask... is this not the sign of a true scrapbooker?
Paris and I continued chatting a bit back and forth and when I asked where one particular embellishment came from, she quickly replied "Those are from Japan!  I find a lot of my favourite things in Japan."  When I asked if she knew the company name, she replied with a smile, "Well no... it was written in Japanese!" which made me chuckle!

So... another reason I think she really is a scrapbooker?  One time when she ran out of gas and someone ran to get some for her, upon their return, they found Paris in her car with her scrapbooks out passing the time scrapbooking and looking through them!  Again... the sign of a true scrapper!

Know that I have a TON of other photos of Paris Hilton and will be showing my video on TV back in Canada on Feb. 11 so if you want to see actual product, stay tuned here and on TV!

Meanwhile, this was a hugely fun day and pure JOY to finally walk around all the wonderful vendors at CHA!!!  Tomorrow I will try to catch photos of Vanna White and Jane Seymour (no they are not scrapbookers, well I don't think they are, but they are both crafters!)

Well, now that's pretty wild! I imagine you were a breath of fresh air to her asking her questions specific to her reason for being there rather than the typical tabloid list.

first... those are fantastic pics of Paris. Well done. Second. I am glad that she really is a scrapbooker and isn't just putting her name on a product. Third. I LOVE bling... so I might even use her stuff!
I am glad that you had a chance to meet her.

Wow, fabulous photos and how nice for you to have a chat with Paris Hilton. She probably enjoyed talking to a "real"person about some "real"things for a change.

Great post, great pics too! I have to say I was skeptical about her but seems like she really is a scrapbooker so am curious to see the product.
